How Car Care Decoded makes money

Car Care Decoded is free to watch and read. Two things pay for it: advertising, and affiliate links on some pages. This page explains both so you can decide how much weight to give what you see.

Advertising

  • Ads on this site are labeled “Advertisement”.
  • Ads are served by Google AdSense and may also come from other advertising networks. The ad networks choose which ad you see. We don’t pick individual ads, and an ad is not a recommendation from us.
  • Ads are never placed inside an affiliate box or inside the video player.
  • Ad networks use cookies. Our Privacy Policy explains this and how to opt out of personalized ads.
  • Some pages link to products at online stores through affiliate programs. If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission. You don’t pay more because of it.
  • Affiliate links are kept inside boxes labeled “Affiliate links”, and every page that has them says so near the top, before the first link.
  • The store for each link is named in its box. Some programs ask for a label next to each link, such as “paid link”, and we show it where a program requires it.

Our advice is not for sale

Advertisers and affiliate programs don’t review, approve or pay for our explanations. Our videos and guides follow our Editorial Standards: public, linked sources, and prices labeled approximate with their source. Brand, store and product names appear only inside the affiliate boxes on this website, not in our videos or images.

We don’t accept payment for reviews. If we ever receive a free product, a loaned tool or payment connected to something we cover, we will say so clearly in that video and on that page.

YouTube

When a video description on our YouTube channel includes affiliate links, the description says so before the links. If a video is ever connected to a payment or a free product from a brand, we will say so in the video itself as well as in the description.
